Body-Based Nervous System Regulation & Somatic Integration
Most bodywork focuses on the problem.
The Fascia Consciousness Method focuses on the person experiencing it.
Instead of asking, "How do we fix this?" we begin by creating the conditions for your body to feel safe enough to respond.
Many people arrive feeling stuck in pain, stress, tension, overwhelm, or patterns that never seem to fully resolve. What they often discover is that when the body no longer has to spend all its energy surviving, it naturally begins moving toward healing, connection, and ease.
The experience is less about having something done to you and more about reconnecting with your body's own capacity to heal and reorganize.

About Me
I'm a native of Hillsborough and mom of two. Before becoming a Massage Therapist, I worked in medical research for both humans and animals. That experience gave me a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology and sharpened my observational skills in ways that continue to shape my work today.

Testimonials
The past 20 years of my life has been spent in a near constant state of stress and anxiety. I’m an entrepreneur with my own company doing business overseas, so in addition to emotional and business stress, my body has had to endure everything from protracted jet lag, to a lack of sleep, to physical challenges resulting from being on the go and flying so much. On top of all that, I’m 55 years old and have a six-year-old daughter.
I first visited Kate almost two years ago, and by that time my body needed some serious help. My long bout with stress had taken its toll, resulting in protracted back and leg pain that was near constant. My body was essentially in a constant cycle of “fight or flight." I was expecting a standard deep tissue massage treatment from Kate, which would have been great - but I got so much more! She’s very focused on helping to get your body and mind to a place of self-healing. To do that, I feel like we’re working together, with her guiding and me following. One of her great talents has been helping me to experience calmness with my emotions and, hence, physically. Sessions with her are a respite from the rest of the world and, through our work together, I feel better than I have in over two decades.”

In writing this review, I suppose I have been on as much of an evolution as Kate's practice has been. Although I initially came for massage, working with Kate has expanded my understanding of how breathing and the nervous system influence my overall health.
I appreciate that Kate creates a space where I feel safe enough to become more aware of what my body is doing. She combines skilled hands-on work with breathing and grounding in a way that has helped me better understand the connection between my body and nervous system.
If you're looking for someone who works with the body in a thoughtful, whole-person way, I would certainly recommend Kate and her practice.

I’ve had years now of wonderful massage experiences under Kate’s sensitive, knowing hands. She is adept at holding one’s body in an anchored, safe feeling space while finding areas of tension or blockages at all levels. I feel my own body moving into its greatest “blueprint”. Oftentimes I’ve experienced a release in one area of my body that relates to other more subtle areas. As she tends to the deeper layers around some long held body discomfort, It no longer returns. Kate’s work goes beyond “temporary relief” and enters into an ever increasing level of well being.
